A day to remember where some amazing musicians from north india came down to perform in Bangalore.
The occasion was the national program of Sangeet Sankalp jointly hosted by Gokhale Institute Of Public Affairs and Sangeet Sankalp Bangalore Chapter.

For the Bangalore audience violin is definitely not a new instrument but Pt Nahar’s handling was a treat to watch.

On the tabla pt rajendra nakod with his inimitable style of playing kept the audience rapt. Narasimha kulkarni on the harmonium was almost a shadow of the vocalist.
Evening session: Amidst some heavy rains started on time and a very big crowd turned in.

On the tabla accompanying her was Pankaj Srivastava and Basavraj Mugalkhod.
The last event of the day was Pt T Radhakrishna from Bangalore whose sitar recital was an absolute treat to watch.he was on the “Hindustai Sangeet Vidyapeeth” invitation.
Presenting the true Senia Maihar tradition which dates back to days of Tansen Pt Radhakrishna presented Raag Puriya Kalyan in the true traditional style .
On the Tabla Rajendra Nakod weaved some magical patterns which kept the audience wanting more and more.
Dr. Mukesh Garg the founder member and president of Sangeet Sankalp gave a brief lecture on the importance of Sangeet Sankalp in the present scenario and about the emergence of Sangeet Sankalp as a genuine custodian of true Indian Heritage and Culture.
